The Sterilight SPV-740 is NSF certified to deliver a 40mJ ultraviolet (uv) dose. This ensures that 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and cysts such as cryptosporidium and giardia are destroyed. If for any reason the system is not able to deliver a 40mJ ultraviolet dose, an alarm sounds alerting the user.
